Samuel Chukwueze will get better- Sister

 

The AFCON tournament seems to have left a bitter-sweet taste in the mouth of Nigerians, this is evident in the heavy criticisms that have greeted the Instagram post made by Princess Chukwueze (princess_chukwueze), the sister to the Super Eagles’ winger, Samuel Chukwueze.

In the said post, she praised her brother by posting his picture with the caption “My world best.”

A lot of her followers who are Nigerians by the way did not find it funny. This is because Nigerians are not happy with the lackluster performance the players have put up so far in the AFCON tournament in Cote D’ Ivoire.

Samuel Chukwueze, on his part, has urged Nigerians to rally behind the team, he also promised the country a much-improved side in the round of 16.

However, the Super Eagles are through to the round of 16 where they will face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday (27th of January 2024) by 8pm.

We (Nigerians) expect the players to have an improved performance against a much-battered Cameroon (a team that struggled to make it to the round of 16).

This AFCON tourney has shown that there are no minnows in African football again- judging by the elimination of teams like Ghana, Tunisia, Algeria, and Zambia.
